View All Our MissionsEuropean Astrotech Ltd provides high quality propellant based chemical and mechanical services in all areas of industry. Our expansive experience in the chemistry of all storable liquid propellants and the engineering of spacecraft propulsion subsystems enables us to support our clients in all aspects of propulsion chemistry and engineering; from analysis, processing of components and assemblies; through to subsystem qualification testing and launch site services.
Below you can find a little insight into what we do as a company, and how we can help you.
EAL propulsion teams carry out testing, fuelling and pressurisation operations for satellite launch campaigns at launch sites all over the world.
We provide both test and fuelling services at the launch site. We arrive, set up our equipment and perform the final checks on the spacecraft propulsion system prior to fuelling operations.

EAL's chemical laboratory is equipped with the facilities for multiple material compatibility tests with all types of storable liquid propellants.
This allows characterisation of the propellant before and after exposure to materials on test (and is also used to certify propellant for flight).

EAL has two re-purposed engine firing bays allowing hazardous testing on propulsion sub-systems for customers, using live or simulant propellants.
Sub-system testing allows us to perform extremely hazardous tests with live propellants and subsystems in safe conditions. For example, we currently have the breadboard model for the Lunar Gateway Fuel Delivery System in the B1 test bay, where we are simulating refuelling lunar landers in orbit around the moon in preparation for the return to the moon in 2024.

EAL can perform propellant analysis to the Military Specifications for all storable liquid propellants for independent certification. All EAL chemists are experienced propellant handlers.
This allows characterisation of the propellant before and after exposure to materials on the test (and is also used to certify propellant for flight).
